E-2003 is a web-based application delivery platform operating in SaaS mode

Software as a Service (SaaS, Software as a Service) allows users to connect to cloud-based apps over the Internet and use those apps.

The SaaS model offers a complete software solution that you can purchase on a pay-as-you-go basis or on a set fee basis.

You can use an organization app for a set amount of time, and users connect to the app over the internet, typically with a web browser.

infrastructure, middleware, app software, and app data are all located in the service provider's data center.

The service provider manages hardware and software with the appropriate SLA and ensures the availability and security of the app and data. The SaaS model allows your organization to get up and running quickly with an app with minimal upfront costs.

In a nutshell Cloud computing, is a form of advanced technological outsourcing.

In the second millennium, in fact, companies can entrust the management of one or more IT resources to a specialized provider which, from that moment on, are provided via the Web through an outsourcing contract.

All this, without the company having to bear the costs of purchasing licenses or machines to take advantage of services essential to the business.

Thanks to the cloud, the supplier will maintain all the infrastructure necessary to manage and distribute services based on demand (on demand) and with a pay per use formula.

The methods of use are established by contracts that provide for a certain fee, the amount of which is defined on a periodic or on a consumption basis.

All with a subscription to certain service characteristics (SLA - Service Level Agreement) and security such as to guarantee business continuity.

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which the application and any related services are run in a centralized environment and users access it via the network, almost always via the Internet and using a browser as an interface.

It is the model that is typically referred to today as "cloud services" and is the evolution of the ASP (Application Service Provider) model of the nineties.

In the SaaS model, the application and its services are provided by the reality that developed it the interface used is a browser the architecture is multi-tenant, i.e. there is a single application that serves multiple users while keeping their respective data and environments separate operational.

The SaaS model is considered the winning one by all the major software vendors, which have created “as a Service” versions of their main applications and provide them through a proprietary cloud infrastructure created ad hoc or by relying on other cloud service providers.
